The future of Metaverse

The idea behind the project was to explore the influence of the Metaverse on art. To get inspired, our expert Marta Bierca (Ph. D.) conducted N=36 in-depth interviews with experts from all over the world (UK, US, Hong Kong, Spain, Austria, etc.) in the field of IT, technology, science, art, museum studies etc. and facilitated two workshops. We focused on understanding the influence of the recent technologies’ development (including Metaverse, but also Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence etc.) on art meaning: creative process, definition of artist, perception of art, regulations of art market, as well as future challenges for cultural institutions.
